As of Feb. 1, 2026, IngramSpark is increasing its pricing again. The company's market access fee or global distribution fee will increase from 1.5 percent to 1.875 percent. This fee applies to every book enabled for distribution. For example, the fee for a book with a list price of $10 will increase from 15 cents to 18.75 cents.
Production costs for many books are increasing as well. You can check out all the specific changes via IngramSpark's new Rate Card. Here's a link to their current Rate Card, as a reference. If you're interested in seeing the new cost to print author copies of your title, use IngramSpark's print and ship calculator. To understand what you'll earn on copies sold after February 1, 2026, you can use the publisher compensation calculator.
Here's a quick overview of what's ahead: Hardcover and jacketed editions already carry high production costs, and IngramSpark's new rates are even higher. Premium color printing shows larger per-page increases than black-and white printing. There is one bright spot in all this news: the price of standard color printing for paperbacks will actually decrease.
Authors with books that have high page counts, hardcover editions, or premium color interiors will be most impacted and are encouraged to run their book's printing specifications through IngramSpark's cost calculators to see if their retail pricing needs to be adjusted before these price changes go into effect.
